So how is it looking? we never had any load shedding here, are the reserves replenished and are those diesel engines firing on all cylinders?

Nope. We still waiting for an update.

#CITY POWER NOT LOADSHEDDING

Eskom has declared the implementation of Loadshedding Stage 2 from tonight between 9pm and tomorrow Friday 6am.
However City Power would like to urge its customers within the City of Johannesburg not to panic as we won't be loadshedding.

Yeah, we were meant to go off at 00:00 - 04:30 - but did not.

Thread title updated: Stage 2 from 9am today until 6am Monday.

Load shedding right through the weekend without gaps overnight is a first no?

tick tock,
someone forgot to wind the clock ( and the power stations)

Seems like City Power is not load shedding again.

I honestly don't remember that. I'm sure it stopped and started at least once from like 23:00 till 08:00 or something like that.
Nope there were unfortunately over nights :-( I know I got hit at midnight. The Stage 6 one was one of them

Where are city power saving the 200MW that's keeping loadshedding at bay?
Kelvin Power Station in Kempton Park, can go up to 600MW, but currently only max 400 they'd have to bring online the shutdown part.

But Kelvin sells direct to Eskom and not the city Mashaba once complained and Eskom wouldn't let them bring up that extra capacity for sale go the city directly.
