Stage 2 loadshedding from today until... 11pm Monday

Come on everyone, Eskom is just trying to help us SAVE the valuable electricity we have left :-) this whole thing is actually just a massive enviro-saving initiative :p

/sarcasm points for the week expired

Ah for ****s sake, I'm hit from 6pm to 8:30pm.... worst time possible.

/Goes off to refuel the generator

Learn to live with less, to make room for more.
Something, something.

This must be what it is like to live in Zimbabwe.

I’ve done my fair share of remote work north of our borders and I can confirm we are still a way off. When water shedding starts we’ll be catching up....oh wait.

Did the shipment of vaccines just arrive in the country?

What Eskom has taught me is to prepare for a crisis as opposed to reacting to one..

Just received my 2 new batteries for the inverter
My one packed in :( gonna have to run on genny

@Lupus has some good stats that he usually posts up for us.

But I do feel the news won't be good what with the unplanned maintenance level sitting at nearly 15'000MW
They were burning diesel last night and quite a bit of pumped storage, though it started off reasonably well this week and just went downhill from Tuesday.

When Eskom lost 14200MW in 2019 we went to stage 6. They're down over 15000MW now. Things will likely get worse as the week progresses.
