A modified Xbox1 is a great entertainment hub: The usual stuff plus emulation: Mame, Genesis, Nes etc...
South Africa’s biggest forum. Discuss, discover, and connect with thousands of members.
The difference is the way its done,
the PS3 just does it more classy(for the lack of a better word).
let me explain,
-I can connect my ipod directly to the PS3 and start coping tracks. And you can't do that with the Zune?
-I can copy pics ,movies and tracks freely from console to removable storage and vice versa .(i must still try this though with the Xbox, not sure yet) It must be all those installs that leave so little space for media on your PS3
-Built in wireless for streaming.We've had this discussion before. I have my wireless router connecting all my devices in my cabinet - it would be a complete waste of money to have to pay extra for built in wireless. Nice to have a choice isn't it?
-I noticed that when i connected the Xbox to the PC with a wired connection,
the ethernet adapter on the XBox is a 100Mbps, where as the PS3 is a
1 Gbps, i know you cant judge a console on that alone, but its the small things like this that makes the PS3 in my eyes a better entertainment device.So you don't use your wireless?
The Ps3 is more user friendly when it comes to plug n play right, except what the hell does that mean? IMHO its the other way round. Especially with regard to on-the-fly network connections with third party devices and whats allowed/disallowed on the PS3's HDD, well thats what i have witnessed so far
while i have had the Xbox. I have no need to store everything on the XBox 360 - I have hundreds of Gigs of songs which I stream in game. Not even your precious PS3 could store that.
By the way i must say when the Xbox is placed vertically, it does look rather nice/modern.
When in doubt...... Buy a PC.
