Stalker....

Xeno. I have one like that too. Sick puppy. I just let the BF answer the phone. And sometimes when I have a shyty day I shout at him! Always makes me feel better.

And I also did the “I do not want to hurt his feelings” thing. They just see that as hope and carries on stalking you. So tell him to fark off. The scary thing is he might be a closet kidnapper, or like mine start to threaten to drown my pets. So tell him no and if he does not want to listen get a restraining order. ( that is if he can be traced my stalker know to phone from unknown numbers.)
 
Ye +1 for dodge! Don't take any chances! That is SOME long-standing fixation!
 
Something i noticed ... Guys who are really persistent tend to get it right, not? After sometime the girl gives in.

Have you given the guy any hint that 'there is a chance' ... Like for instance saying what a wonderful person he is etc ... Because anything positive you will say towards him, he can read that the wrong way.

I heard the following saying years ago, "The only difference between rape & scoring is patience". Needless to say I definately do not support rape.

Yeah too true. I say 14 is the best age. 10 is way too young.

What she said. Being gentle with a desperate/clingy guy only makes him think that you care. Be firm, and failing that, threaten legal action...

Fine! I'll leave you alone then! You could've just told me you don't want to stay in contact, you know.

Hmmm, just tell him your lives have both moved on and you just can't see yourself being friends with him anymore. You'll hurt his feeling a little but he'll get over it and move on to the next victim. At the end of the day, being nice gives him hope and the longer you feed him, the longer he'll persist. I've had to bat a guy like this from an ex before and it seems like I may need to do it again.

How do you go about getting these people? Is it a female thing?

Xeno, why give his number to one of the guys here and have one of the guys call him as your bf and tell him to stay away...I am certain they will improvise.
