Star Citizen

But just enough care to type kak out and click reply.

One would have thought if you realy don't care you would say nothing at all - after all that is the real not care.

however, not like you did there with hey my opinion matters and I do care

/facepalm

well you have commented multiple times on this thread that its a scam with nothing to back it up
clearly just begging for some attention here. so there i have given some to you.
run along now. bye

well at least they did not make a joke about the launch year of SQ42,
so sure they are still planning to make it happen this year.
"Fake" vehicle from few years back is coming to the game SoonTM
What if it launches in an episodic format (every year a new season), or a play test (alpha, beta)?

I still find it strange that they removed the SQ42 campaign from most base Star Citizen packages.

Umm actually crowd so eager to say its not a scam. Arguing semantics.

What SC is, is a waste of fkn time.
Mismanaged by a bunch of turds, falling ass first into millionaire status all while just selling a tech demo as a game.
11 years later and the same bugs I experienced in 2015 are still there in one form or another in 2026.

Innovative gameplay include:

Ship Mining - Shoot a laser beam.
FPS Mining - Shoot a laser beam.
Ground Vehicle Mining - Shoot a laser beam.
Salvaging - Shoot a laser beam.
Physicalized cargo - Shoot a laser beam.
Engineering repairs - Guess what? Shoot a laser beam.
Simulated fire - An actual fire extinguisher, half expected another laser beam.
Crafting - Gee wiz here I go again loading the crafting box using my physicalized cargo laser beam.

These are the same sht heads that are pushing for realism and immersion even at the expense of gameplay convenience.
But every mechanic is some kind of laser beam.

Sold a mech suit that looks like loader from Aliens movie only for it to work by using laser beam...

2026 and they finally figured out how to add night vision to ships.
Oh boy sure is nice to finally be able to see where I am flying at night thanks.

The key tech the game needs to function has been delayed so much, you could start taking bets on it.
What will we get 1st? Fully functional Server meshing as it was advertised or a commercially viable Nuclear Fusion reactor.

Only took a decade to make 3 Star systems out of the 100 promised.

"Its early access bruh"
"Its legacy code that needs updating"
"Just wait till dynamic server meshing hits"
"SQ42 is the focus, they have to focus on that first"

Tired old same excuses used time and again.

Same geniuses that create PVE space special events that break and cause servers to crash if any player flies to that PVE mission zone.
Because servers have persistence, it would restart after the crash in exactly the same broken state.
Servers stayed broken like that the whole event, for weeks. WEEKS.

Am I just a jaded CIG hating mofo?

Derek Smart was right

New drama at CIG.

Star Citizen packages people had, that included SQ42, if they melted (exchanged for store credit) to buy something they could use in SC with the intention to use the buyback function (exchange store credit to buy back the melted package) later to get SQ42 back. The buyback function no longer permits SQ42 to be bought back. Those people will have to buy SQ42 again.

Previously you could always buy back the SQ42 package with store credit. Now that is not possible.

Hopium has people taking this as a sign, SQ42 will be releasing this year.

A big fart?

For those who play Star Citizen, they will know the lore's sneak peak. It does seem that it is a "Star Citizen" recruitment drive into the UEEN(avy). The timeline wouldn't add up though.... but this is CIG so anything is possible.

From what I can gather, it does seem that Squadron 42 will release this year. How it will be released, well, that is a whole other debate.

Look, I have been taking the piss out of this game, and its adherents, for almost a decade.

Doesn't that tell you something?
