Star Citizen

I did twice...

If Squadron 42 is not given a launch date by May 27th I don't think it is coming in 2026. DefenceCon is now underway, and they did give it some vague hints, but it could mean anything by CIG standards. Personally I don't think the game is coming this year, or at least not in its full form if push comes to shove.

They would need to be brave for going up against GTA. GTA could also be postponed.

new patch is so kak they had to quickly announce the Odin sales price, so internet can focus on that. almost like the epstein files

Logged on last night, started getting frustrated right away, having to figure out all over again how the flight modes work, which keys need to be pressed, got part way away, near entering space. Just to get exhausted thinking about all the things you have to struggle with just to play. Just hit alt-f4. I cannot even imagine what it must be like for a new player going into this blind.

The tutorial they have, barely scratches the surface and isn't a substitute for a proper lead in set of missions with npc characters taking you through different types of gameplay modes in the game and its cluster fk of controls.

Logged in last night. Thank you great big reset again. Now I only have my starter ship…. Again. Fml

The rok should be standard imo cause to get it after one of these purges I normally grind hours hauling cargo which ****en sucks.

There's always that dcs series on steam...

I don't play Star Citizen at this time, and it has been yonks since I last touched the game. Anyhow, I see CIG is handing out permabans, so how bad is duping in the game?

Really bad. Before latest patch people were sending random players online millions or billions of auec. Most of the exploits have not been fixed despite them claiming the wipe off all accounts are to restore the economy after claiming to have fixed said exploits. It's a **** show.

Can't imagine guys put in hundreds and even thousands of dollars would try that. Would be real dumbasses.

Well, there are some extremely wealthy Steam/CS2 accounts that are blatantly used to cheat with. Some people don't care until there is a perma-banhammer, but CIG will show caution where an already invested player is exploiting the system. Fairness does not apply to all.

theres currently a free fly on, so any dupers / exploiters will create alt accounts to avoid a ban on main accounts.
There was a bug a few patches ago where having more than 2 Billion in your account would break some parts of the game, so people were just getting rid of money by sending it server wide.

And then for ship components you could always just do a bit of insurance fraud by removing components and reclaiming the ship would give you back the components.

The current 4.8 patch addresses that by "bricking" the component once a ship is reclaimed.
you can now also insure non stock components on your ships, if you dont insure them and reclaim your ship then it will spawn with the stock component loadout.
obviously being cig, no one thought that through properly so people were loosing their store bought liveries when claiming a ship, today they released a hotfix which includes the ability to reclaim store bought liveries.

one of the worst patches they released recently,
but they still manage to break record sale numbers, so will just keeping on
releasing ****.

Used to. Lost when upgraded ship.

I was looking at the comments about the current DefenseCon, and I see some people are ready to pay crazy prices for what is now considered a digital collectible. I never knew that this "AMD" ship was so scarce.

Yeah I saw that. not like the ship was any good. But people collect all sorts of stuff just because.

I still have a Mustang Omega Package on an account of mine that I claimed 12 years ago. Always wanted to race with it... so what did people do with theirs, upgrade it and lose it? Even if someone offered me $1000 for it now, I wouldn't let it go.

Is there anyone here who owns a Mustang Omega?

There are some for sale on the Starcitizen_trades subreddit, saw some on the last 6 months $260 - $400.
not sure if any of those sold. if you looks at some of the online stores like star hangar or impound then the
price will be well over the reddit sub price.

if you had the intel sabre raven code, those go for well over $1000.
These two ships cig will never be able to sell again apparently.

last year cig did put up for sale some rare liveries which were going on the grey market for hundreds of dollars.

and in other news, they crossed a billion in funding with an insane new concept ship Odin at $5000 warbond.
