Star Wars: The Old Republic!

If I order it on Amazon, do I get the early access code immediately via email, and can I use it to register an account? I have the client, I just need to create an account at this point. ><

I dont think so, if iam not mistaken you will have to wait for the hard copy to be delivered

Argh, I wish someone like megarom would just import a few hundred copies and sell them at retailers. I'm really not keen to go through g2play and then download a 20gb client :/

Edit/// Anyone in durban and surrounding areas got an updated client??

i just bought my cd key from http://www.hotcdkey.com for R107 and its working

They will phone you after you make the purchase to confirm that you are who you say you are then they send the key :)

Lol, there are a LOT of you asking the same questions. Most of these answers are in the thread :P

1) One version of teh game works on all ( US and EU) servers
2) Client is 19Gb
3) You can copy form a friend to get the files
4) CD-keys can be bought online
5) Amazon ships and with a shipped copy you have to wait to get you code.
6) I have the client in Durban, can help out, but obviously need to pm me to arrange a time. My work hours can be very random

Hi,

Thanks for all the pms. I actually don't have any more money on me to buy more copies but I managed to get a few :P They are all taken though, but I'll let the people who pmd me know if someone backs out. They also hiked the in shop prices to 45 bloody pounds which is almost 580 rand! So I think you guys will be better off if you just buy a key online, it is much cheaper.

I think the only thing about buying a key online is that you need to try use an overseas credit card/debit card to do so, you can be in SA and it will work fine and you can apply it to your account and play from SA - its confirmed that there's no IP blocking. So I can help with that if you want, since I have a UK debit card, and all you need to do is transfer money into my account and then I can buy the game, I get the key by email and you just take it, open and account, and login. That's how i've done it...no cds and nothing more than 1 email.

Edit: Login server seems to be down

I upgraded to the Digital Download Edition for $20. (You get access to the DDE items)

Anyone know how much bandwith this uses when you're playing? like how many mb's an hour it uses?

Shouldn't be too different from WoW, I could play WoW on a 3 gig cap and still browse a bit for 1 month though I'm pretty sure I went over sometimes and Telkom just never capped. If you had 3 gig a month and you didnt browse internationally you'd probably make it. If youve already dled the full client, you shouldnt have to download too much from the server whilst playing.

Rolled new on Flames of the Crucible too. Can NOT be asked with the "older" servers' queues. If anyone else gets fed up with them and wants to join a no queue server, join us on Flames of the Crucible. Dark side of course.

I have a Bounty Hunter and smuggler on Flames of the Crucible. Hera-Vorght is my bounty hunter babe ;)

how is everbody finding the game?

Me personaly, its boring as hell with alot of running up and down. Iam only lvl 9 but if it stays like this the hole way through i wont make it past 20 lol. The graphics are also a little crap (but that could be cause iam used to playing skyrim) and all the male chars look like they have breasts lol

@Gory My character's name is Khal'drogo so add me if you want to group up at any stage. Currently lvl 13 and plunking around Dromund Kaas with a mate from the UK.

@Fur Yeah the running around can get a little annoying, I am most certainly looking forward to my speeder at 25. Levelling up slicing as fast as possible and hitting the safes to get the 48k credits once I ding. However the running around really isn't bothering me. It's kind of sadist but it reminds me of old school where we didn't get teleports and 451% speed flying mounts. I'm jsut enjoying the scenery and the combat animations so much I honestly couldn't care less about the running (more time to kill stuff).

Graphics imo are great, but thats probably because I HAVEN'T been playing Skyrim, but WoW ;) Looking forward to the AA SLI bug fix thats apparetnly incoming soon. The story is beyond amazing, and once I did that first flashpoint (Black Talon?) at lvl 11 I was hooked like crazy. That is the most fun I've had in a game in a very long time.

All this combined with the fact that Flames of the Crucible server has no queueing times makes me once happy camper. More Zamalek all round.

Yea i must say the combat is cool, what is also a plus is the quest givers all have cut sceans with voice over for your quest which does make a big difference to the typical MMO style of read all of the quests.

Gonna play it a bit more hopefully get more into it, i hear from lvl 10 is when all the cool stuff starts to happen.

Hey guys. I'm trying to buy the game online. Does anybody know if there are seperate EU/US keys as with WoW? Or are the keys and the game one and the same for both regions?
