Star Wars has always been sci fantasy western style series.

Star Trek is more sci fi (except when its a Netflix adaptation and their starship runs on shrooms).
Discovery is a CBS production - they licensed it to Netflix for international markets outside of the US.

Discovery is a CBS production.
Didnt know that. Thought the "Netflix Original Series" meant it was made by Netflix. Realize now Im probably wrong.

Picard > Discovery though.

Discovery is an odd Star Trek. Shroom based drive, bald klingons and more gay people than porn hub.

Star Wars: Don't care for any of it except for Mandalorian which I really like.

Star Trek: Was never super into it, but I can watch a random episode and enjoy it. Recently watched a Next Gen episode: The Measure of a Man and it's a cool scifi episode with Data on trial and two parties arguing for his sentience and autonomy. And Star Trek is full of the exploration of interesting ideas like this in addition to space adventures which is why I much prefer it to Star Wars. Then again I don't enjoy the last few Star Trek (JJ Abrahams) movies.

if I had one movie ticket, and had to choose between watching the next Star Wars or Star Trek movie, I would go with the Trek movie

but The Mandalore > *

Which is the better franchise? Star Wars or Star Trek? Does the Millennium Falcon trump the Enterprise? Was Han Solo a better captain than Kirk or Picard? Are light sabres cooler than phasers?
Both bad; rather go with firefly.

Original Star Trek was good, later versions where diluted. Star Wars, is also good but a bit variable, just did not like all.

Enjoying Mandalorian, tho.

Hell yes!!! The Expanse is the best damn sci-fi series in history. Period!
No. Just no.

It's Wheel of Time all over again. Self-destructive, dull, characters you hate doing stupid shiat for reasons you couldn't care about in a universe you end up wishing would implode and end the inanity.

The only redeeming character in the series is Miller and he barely factors next to the whining, self-obsessed, head-cases infesting every page.

I can't really choose a favourite. The original Star Wars was quite good. Earlier Star Trek was quite good too.

CP is best Captain btw. Even now he's still having a go at it.

You obviously never go into it if you think Miller is the best character. Drummer, Burton and Avasarala were amazing.

Star Wars is just a cheap ripoff of Space Balls, and Star Trek is merely a poor imitation of Galaxy Quest.
