Hey everyone,

Unfortunately it looks like I might not be able to get a ADSL connection in my area. I was just wondering whether Starcraft 2 would be able to work on a hsdpa connection here in SA?

Please help... I would really want to play the game haha :D

if you playing single player you only need internet to login with battlenet account to access single player page after that doesnt use it unless you go play multiplayer games

Not sure how much data exchange takes place, but if u get a latency of 200ms thats fine.

Ok so to what Website or IP Address can I ping to test my latency? A website that could give a reasonable idea what my latency would be when playing online?

I tether my phone (HTC Touch pro) and play SC2 and BFBC 2 with no problems.. provided theres signal.

My friend experiences usage of about <10MB per hour of gaming - aka nothing.

Okay so for everyone...

Installed SC2 last night... the initial installation downloaded about 80Mb extra... I played about 6 games online (extra 10Mb in about 2 hours I guess)... I must say that the lag was kinda crap but playable before 23:00 but apparently Battle.net is also experiencing lagging and disconnection issues now... anyways... after 23:00 the game ran smooth with 3v3 (3 Humans vs 3 AI).... overall I think I would be playing SC2 with HSDPA using my Nokia E71 :D
