Don't even get me started on Diablo III. It looks like a 3 year old game and it's only getting released in 2011!!

Yes, I know it's not all about graphics, but heck, it sure helps when the game is aging. Diablo II did not age well.

LOL! Dude, you are seriously naive.

They delayed SC2, because of Battle.Net that isn't ready. You know, the same Battle.Net that's being used in Diablo 3? :D

Also, there is still lots of other stuff they need to work on. All of the Barbarian's skills haven't even been developed yet! From Slashdot's summary of Blizzcon 2009:

Diablo III is a game that's already impressive, but very much still in development. Blizzard isn't ready to talk about many things; major decisions for the PvP system haven't been made yet, Battle.net integration is something for the future (though they will have cross-game communication, like the others), and the much-anticipated rune system for customizing skills is on hold until they finalize the skills themselves. Even things like the Barbarian's resource system and graphical effects are still going through new iterations, and they're trying to smooth out the bumps in monster design. They mentioned a sand-shark which would become much more powerful in the open desert (think Tremors), making the sand feel less safe to stand on than nearby rocks. Unfortunately, in playtesting, they found that it was hard to balance and confusing for the players, so they're tinkering with the design. I wouldn't expect this game before 2011.

I was never a huge D2 fanboi but D1 was awesome.2011 is a joke...It's been pushed back so many times...The graphics will be **** but will need a beast of a pc to run.

I hope it comes out in 2020. :D

Some of us have work and if I do not have time to re-check every post (think I avrg about 30 a day) I apologize profusely.

1) If telling me how bad my spelling / grammar / punctuation is, is the only way that you are capable of insulting me then wow you must have been Captian Debate team at school...

2) If I feel like getting the pirated version, you are well within your rights to tell me that "people like me" make you sick but then I am also well within my rights to tell you you are a retard :)

3) I will still get the pirated version because they are forcing me to go online, now if you make a MMORPG that is all fine and dandy, BUT then please say it is an online game, else they are lying. If they would rather reward the person buying the game and not make them jump through hoops I will be more than willing to fork out the price they ask. But now they are punishing you for buying the game..... I say again Free + No hoops > Paid for + Hoops. SC2 go down the same road as spore.

Now you can rest easy and one day when I am all grown up I will be ready to spell and punctuate correctly and I will thank you when I win a Nobel Prize in Literature.

I think you need a morality check, because somehow you've convinced yourself that piracy is 'ok' as long as you can justify it.

In your 'strange' world: If I didn't have a pixel shader 2+ graphics card, does this also give me the right to pirate a game? If I didn't have a car license, does this give me the right to steal a car? If I didn't like a company, does this give me the right to steal their products? (ye, ye - I know stealing is more 'severe' than copying IP, just trying to get my point across). That's how bizarre your reasoning is.

If it says on the box, nice and clear; "Internet required", its a requirement. Seriously; with so many ways to connect online for authentication, your points are completely nullified. Cellphone, authenticate, play single player offline mode. I'm very sure that the single player alone will be worth the price on the box.

No matter how you try and justify a free meal, it's still wrong. How about: If you don't like it, don't buy (or play) it?

PS You should also quit your job, since you obviously don't like logging into systems and while you're at it, you might as well PM a mod and ask them to delete your forum account since it also requires a log in.

Its not about moral justification.. Its about paying for something you could have for free.

What if...
you pirate a R500 game, and then give R400 to a charity?, and paypal R100 to the company that made it?

Keep your data clear and we wont clash.

Piracy is Copyright Infringement, and you would first have to believe that the owning of ideas is moraly right before you can agree that piracy is wrong. Since I dont believe in the owning of ideas I cant agree that its wrong. I think trying to own a thought is wrong. I think the current copyright model is wrong.

Make limited copyrights to protect artists and put reasonable times that those copyrights stay in existence.. then Ill agree that piracy is wrong. Until they fix what I consider unjust copyright laws.... I cant see anything wrong with disobeying laws that I already see as wrong.

BTW to all of you guys, thanks for the great debate on buying or using the crack for SC2.
My colleagues think I am psycho with all the laughing coming from my desk.......
