StarSat dish with Dstv decoder

My cousin has a TopTv/StarSat dish and lnb. If he realigns it and buys a dstv decoder, can he receive the Dstv channels or will he need to buy a proper Dstv dish and lnb?

I speak under correction but I think it will work due only to a previous experience. My fathers lnb checked out so I replaced it with my old toptv one and his dstv worked fine again

You can use a starsat dish aligned to dstv not other way round. Dstv use smaller dishes.
