He never expected to win.
It is all just for show. He'll run off to the high court next and so on up to the concourt. By the time the process runs through, the commission will have run out of time. Zuma is a master at running down the clock.
 
Yea.. Zuma is going to die of old age before he ever gets to court for corruption.

The thing is, he can waste time in court all he wants, all it will achieve is a report from the commission that doesn't have his side of the story and it will blatantly state that and also state that he was given every opportunity to provide his side of the story. Pretty much the same as his little floozy Dudu.
 
So he just leaves the commission because he feels like it. What an arrogant buffoon. Zondo really should put his slimy ass in jail. There needs top be consequences for ignoring a summons.
 
If me as an ordinary citizen walked out of court or a judicial inquiry while under summons, I'd be held in contempt and locked up and face the music.

Why should Zuma get away with this? We are all equal before the law, and Zuma is now an ordinary citizen without immunities or Parliamentary privilege.

He should be arrested, and brought to the Commission in shackles (as he is a flight risk), and made to comply. His passports should also be seized, and a travel ban ordered.

Whether he chooses to testify, be cross questioned or remain silent is his choice, but the inquiry MUST go on. We have been held hostage by this ruthless lying and stealing thug for too many years.

He needs to be held to account, or all hell will break out in the social / political arena.

It wasn't an issue for him at the beginning of the commission. Now its a delaying tactic so he doesn't have to account for all of his criminal activities.

Zondo said the same thing in delivering his judgement that he won't recuse himself.

He's had 3 years to oppose his appointment, why is he only raising it now...

Those expesnive lawyers do what is best for their client. As the commission goes on Zuma keeps on being implicated. It starts to paint a picture that is impossible to see as coincidence. Their client is as guilty as can be, so the lawyers come up with what every tactic they can think of.

This just shows what a liar Zuma is. He said he wants his day in court but when it does come, he just gives conspiracy theories, bad memory, sick notes, delaying or recusal tactics.
 
Zuma’s legal tactic is now to discredit the commission in its entirety by placing Zondo’s capability to preside over the commission in doubt. This will complicate, and possibly compromise the gathered evidence and evidence gathering process.

Here is why Zuma's lawyers are scum. They know if a compliant is made with the Judicial Service Commision the commission will find against them because it took Zuma 2 years to ask for recusal. As a result, they don't say they are laying a complaint based on facts. Rather they are laying a complaint against Zondo because Zuma instructed them to. The lawyers would never lay a complaint on their own advice. It means Zuma sees himself as more knowledgeable than his own lawyers. If Zuma says he is a victim he is a victim, irrespective what his lawyer's advice is. |

It's just the kind of language used by lawyers, not necessarily to say Zuma is the one giving them ideas on what to do next.
