Can anyone tell me if there is some way to get a static IP with ADSL, or suggest a cost effective way to aquire a static IP for hosting?

It would be cheaper to get yourself a VPS and host your DNS and services there, plus would also have better uptimes and upload/download rates than hosting it on a DSL connection.

Take a look at www.intovps.com there starter package is more than enough resources for DNS hosting.
