A okay cool, no best is to first play with some people in a group then add them as friends.

Yeah I wouldn't trust random people. I get random chat requests but I never notice them when I'm in game. I don't know how they would hijack accounts apart from sending you a link - which I got a very dodgy looking link from someone in the mybroadband steam group.

Ive got 6 so far i have done everything possible without a credit card or paypal, unless the last two days of achievements have two each that you dont have to buy, thats pretty much it

Actually thats not true at all. You can purchase the games, that's why they go on special when they are up.

I see. "NO PURCHASE NECESSARY." suggests you don't need to purchase to partake in the treasure hunt but you can if you want to.

yep as i thought if you havent bnought loads of games through steam and dont have money to spend you are not eligible to enter the 100 games contest, it should be called the "Spenders benefit competition", and no i dont think that im entitled or deserve something, just a fair chance at the entry, will be box editions from now on!

Every two days when there's new objectives, there's also the chance to win 5 games from your wishlist. Most days had an objective that you could complete without a purchase, so that's where the "No Purchase Necessary" probably came from.
