I have 2/8 achievements - profile pic and demo of The Undergarden, chances are very very very slim to win, 140 winners out of over 30 million, i dont think il buy any games just to unlock an achievement with these odds, good marketing idea though

You can pick up some nice specials though and it would seem that at least one of the objectives every two days is account not game related.

3/8 and working on 4th :D

Yeah, it would sort of not be fair if you had to buy something to progress.

The latest seems to be, having 10+ friends.

i have 0 friends, i see on the steam forum people are just adding and accepting random people, i at least want them to play the same games or be in SA for servers, i cant remember where i read it but hackers were exploiting the invite system and hijacking accounts, im probably wrong on that but didnt want to take a chance

The best way to make steam friends is through a clan or group. Once you play a few times together, you pretty much get to know each other. The MyBB clan pretty much got going like that and I think I speak for most of us when I say that we're really glad that we did as the guys are fu to play with :D

I bought Chimes because of the price - not a bad game at all. Got 3 objectives under my belt., busy downloading that demo of Undergarden to complete objective #4 :D

Yes this is very very dangerous. Once you accept the friend request these Nigerian folk get access to your credit card info, copy of your ID, paypal account, email passwords and even your blood type. They then steal all your money to give to some random dude via email after they've made him believe that he won some MSN UK Lottery.

Dude I'm serious. It happened to this one friend of mine's sister's brother's friend that know someone from Benoni that swears he knew someone what saw this happen with his own eyes. Hey guys, this is srs bizns ok.

4/10 not worth it good idea for steam, waste of time for me,

I got my 10/10 yesterday and didn't have to do anything. The advantage of using Steam so regularly. :)

I haven't seen anyone from here in black ops, no names that i recognise, and i try not type in game as i always die, very unfriendly atmosphere in game i suppose it is war. even if i got 10 friends i would still only reach 7, thats if the final 3 days of achievements have 1 that is steam/account based

Where did you get the 30million?

Its only 6 million.
And its pretty easy getting a few friends on steam just look at the mygaming guys. have like most of them from there on my friends list and so far nothing bad has happened.

I think that acording to the competion rules that you have to be able to get through it without making a purchase.
