Steers vs Burger King

Our patties are made from poor ground beef so there's no risk of contamination due to under cooking as one would expect from under cooked chicken or pork and some types of fish.

"Poor ground beef" means no risk of contamination?

I don't understand?

lol ok, was not expecting that... a steers rep on mybb, :D
my steers before has always been fully cooked through though, but med-well is what I like. good to know thanks.

S hit, did I say poor ground beef??? Meant pure.... Freudian slip maybe..

Recently I've had a steers burger at 2 different branches and both were pink or medium rare in the centre... now I like my beef rare but not frozen patties! I still ate it though, ecoli and all.

Similiar thing happened to me, I complained and the manager said thats how it always made and to request well done. But he gave me a new burger anyway :)

That's quite hectic. I have no issue with the question being asked but the way that it is presented. I was almost caught out initially as well until I asked and they said it was an extra.

Nando's do it as well.

If you have the extra cheese and "pine" its really expensive. That is why I don't take any optional extra's

Steers new national special starting Thursday 23rd May 2013 is a Twice the slice (2 slices of cheese) Cheese burger and chips for R29.90.

Sandman, that's burger you posted is priced well and all - but why is the Original King Steer Combo more than double the price of that?

I understand it's a little bigger, but R65?
Why exactly am I expected to pay R35 extra for only a extra patty and a buddy coke?

Your prices are all wrong.... I might as well buy two of those burgers at R29 each and buy a coke for R5 at the spar next to the Steers?

Edit: come to think of it, you can buy two BK Big King Burgers for the price of a single king steer burger
Edit 2: You're actually charging R25 extra to get the meal (chips and a coke)... you know, for R16 I can get chips and unlimited drinks at BK...

I don't think Steers is for me after examining these prices more clearly... too expensive!
I think i'll join the crowd at Burger King, bacon or no bacon...

The numbers don't lie Steers!

Burger King: Big King Medium Meal (R36,90) + Big King Burger (R20,90) = R57,80
Steers: Original King Steer Combo = R64,90
