Hi there folks.

I applied for a line to be installed at my home (the free one so that I can do a self-install for my ADSL). The problem is the following.

I applied for this about a month and a half ago. They keep calling me about once a week to confirm my address. For some reason they have my address as the hospital which is next to the complex where I live. They call me and say: "Hi sir, we just want to confirm your address." I have called the Telkom guys in Potchefstroom and the 10219 number to correct this about 5 times. But still every week they call me to confirm my address as "the neighbouring hospital". I can understand if they have problems with their admin, but I have called them to correct it at least 5 times.

The question is this. Can someone please tell me who I should talk to to get the ball rolling? Is there perhaps a Telkom rep here to assist me? It is really frustrating.

Thanks for reading.

Edit: I should add that every time they call to confirm my address, it is the Potchefstroom guy who wants to install the line. When I then tell him NO IT IS NOT WHERE I LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111111, he says: Oh sorry sir you have to wait another week because the equipment we use is totally different. Now that I have your correct address I can get the right equipment and start right away. Then the next week he calls and the same thing happens. Vicious circle.

Drive around to your closest exchange location with your reference number and have a chat with the guy in charge.
