Still connected but only able to access Cell C website

Unfortunately I woke up this morning to find myself only being able to access cellc.co.za. So it seems this bug is still lurking, but certainly nowhere nearly as prevalent as it was.

Same here - first time it has happened in a while though...

This happen around 2:30 am lasted about 5-10minutes or so - also experienced the same problem but my connection hasn't acted up again to win an Oscar :) but happy to report the network is stable on my side.

It hit this again this morning after being connected for about 24hrs.

It happened to me again this morning, could nslookup mybroadband.co.za and www.cellc.co.za, but could ping neither. Browsing to www.cellc.co.za still worked.

I found in my AVG log that it tried to do an update at 02:28 and failed, which was after being online for just over 4 hours.

Also 3 'disconnects' in the past week here. Just when I thought it's getting stable. Not as bad as it was earlier, but the presence thereof is still bugging me

happened last nite as well, after a long spell of no timeouts/disconnects.
Think was my longest online time - 8 days problem free.
They getting there, hopefully they will be up there with mtn & voda soon ;)

My friend is having this problem since Monday, 28 March. DNS lookups work. Can only browse cellc.co.za. Tracert stops at 41.157.83.14

If there is anything I can do to help diagnose this problem, please let me know.

Are you sure your friend's bundle isn't depleted?

Does disconnecting and reconnecting not help?

Yes, I'm sure. More than 900MB left.

Only a did reconnected a few times, and it did not help. Perhaps I should disconnect and reconnect dozens of times, because it has worked for others.

Could it be that some of the Cell C IP numbers don't have proper routing ?

What I found really weird was the first ping to a site other than www.cellc.co.za gets through, but subsequent pings are lost, see here.

Ginggs, are you still experiencing this issue? It's exactly what I go through occasionally - first ping works, but nothing else; DNS resolution seems to work, but no data comes through; can access cellc.co.za but no other sites.

In my case though, the problem could present itself at any time (not just after a long session), and a reconnect often doesn't solve the problem. Since it's the first day of the month, I'm guessing it could be related to replacing monthly data bundles (full bundle is reported as available), but I'm sure I've experienced it at other times as well.

Ginggs wrote that more than 2 months ago. Lately he hasn't been complaining. The problem has been marked as resolved on the sticky page.

Except my neighbour is experiencing it since Monday morning. So it has not been resolved, and it hasn't anything to do with "replacing monthly data bundles".

It happens about 2 to 3 times a week with me. I normally just wait it out and try later. Happened last night again (but could be due to the drama last night on the network),

It happened to me again during the course of last night, probably the first time it has happened since mid-March.

I also noticed I am unable to get to the login page of the Self Service website while in this state.
I wonder if this is a side-effect of the redirection to the secure site https://www.cellc.co.za/login/page/login which came into effect recently?
