After 37 years of smoking 30 to 40 pd, I finally decided to buy an ecig. Not the first or second generation ecigs but the 3'rd one.
Never in my life would I have thought I would stop smoking. The new generation ecigs are sooo good. I prefer them to tobacco big time.
Most of all, I never thought my wife would give up tobacco but with this she did. Both of us are now 8 months tobacco free.
My sinus has gone after many years. I can now smell again. And no, I don't sell it but do promote it. Saving big bucks with vaping. Cost us about R4.00 per day now compared to R84.00 pd.
So many flavours and hardware to choose from. Google it.

I will NEVER EVER touch a cigarette again.
If you want more info, PM me. And, no, I don't represent any Co, and will not profit in any way. I can point you to a supplier and give you advice only.

I beg your pardon?!?!? 30 to 40 packets/day???!!!

Unless you're Wolverine you'd have been dead a long time ago.

The only way ... And I really mean the ONLY way to overcome a bad habit or addiction is to substitute it with something better. Because the reason for the problem in the first place is the real problem.

I assume that he meant cigarettes per day otherwise we have our first zombie online.

Which eCig are you using? What make/brand/type? Is it a good replacement? Tell us more.

What were you smoking before, and what flavours do you smoke now. How often do you smoke the eCig, and is the sensation the same/similar.

Is the eCig a worthy replacement?

How exactly are they better than normal cigarettes though?

You haven't stopped 'smoking' IMO.

No tar. No carcinogens. None of the 100s of harmful chemicals. None of the 100s of unidentified chemicals. You still get your nicotine fix, you still get "smoke" which is actually vapour. Doesn't taste foul, doesn't make your stink. Costs less in the long run.

In a sense, you've cut out majority of the harmful stuff. You haven't killed the addiction, you've replaced it with something less harmful.

But it still isn't the same. I've tried it, not very successfully. I'd like to try it again. Perhaps this 3rd generation of eCigs are better.

As long as it doesn't blow up in your mouth - you're good! ;)

Boge Leo and the m201/202 are both good. They work really well. Just be warned they dont last very long and you will need to start replacing bits soon.

So what you are basically saying is you found a less harmful way to get your fix?

Why not just "smoking" altogether - get rid of the nicotine addiction entirely.

I've recently purchased the NJoy ecigarette from Calora.co.za. I am now smoking more than usual. The aftertaste after vaporizing is absolutely foul - this coming from a smoker who has tried many different brands of ciggies.

I am smoking now just to rid my mind of that god-awful aftertaste of the ecig. Worst part us that this weekend I will again attempt to use it in the hopes that I can eventually become accustomed to the horrible aftertaste.

Its not that hard to stop the ecigs and they make stopping the normal stuff much easier. So its normally a gradual weaning process.
I used them when I stopped and after a month or two of electronics its simple to just put it down and be done with.

Well, first don't buy ecigs from baby and pregnancy sites, that's what I get when I go to Calora.co.za. The Njoy is not very good and you probably have a crappy ejuice leaving that horrible after taste.

The first time I tried ecigs was in October last year, that's also when I had my last cigarette. I didn't even intend to quit, but I'm enjoying vaping so much more than cigarettes. Great taste with plenty flavours to try, no need to buy that pack everytime you enter a shop, no need for an ashtray, you don't even have to open a window. I'm down from spending R1300 a month on cigarettes to less than R250 a month.

I find it really tough to believe that the ecigs which hardly taste like anything are foul but normal cigarettes are fine?!?!
If that really is the case for you then just get different juice, you get them in all flavours and strenghts so there will be one that you like.

First generation ecigs are the small cigarette sized ones. Watts are too low for the juice. Taste is not good. Dumped mine.
Second generation like the Boge Leo that I have has a 3.7v battery. Taste is much better. And, no, it does not break as mentioned here. The coils get used up over time and costs R14.00 each.
As to bats exploding as mentioned here. The guy injured used wrong ones to save money. A normal 3.7v bat cannot provide 3 to 4 amps. It will explode. They need Protected High Drain bats.

Now the third generation is out and has the US tobacco Co's worried to the extent that they are to start manufacturing the ejuice as well. South Africa will catch up soon enough.
These are the 'Mods' like the LavaTube Variable Voltage. Google it.
This is my next one for certain. 3 to 6 volts.
Want to know more? Google 'ecf' and go to the forum. Lots of info here. There is a SA subforum as well. My name there is 'Johnny2puffs'

Thats bull**** - quitting the e-cigs and normal cigs will be the same -

The addiction is to nicotine.

Not to the poisons in cigs

You're probably right, but I'd rather be addicted to just the nicotine than the nicotine+poison.

Sorry, I forgot to add;
The ecigs here are very expensive and inferior as are the juices.
A third generation ecig bomb will cost you $65.00 wheras here the tiny first gen will cost the same.
Delivered in 4 days to your door from the US.
