Stop smoking with ecigs.

Sorry, I forgot to add;
The ecigs here are very expensive and inferior as are the juices.
A third generation ecig bomb will cost you $65.00 wheras here the tiny first gen will cost the same.
Delivered in 4 days to your door from the US.

Can you recommend a particular make and model, and where to buy it from. An online store would be preferable. Post a URL if you have one.

Thanks.

LavaTubes are available in South Africa now at eCiggies http://eciggies.co.za

I haven't tried one yet, I use ego batteries and 510 dual coil cartomizers which are reasonably priced at eCiggies for a South African site.

I could live with that.

From time to time I took a real one. Go out with friends and have a few beers, then after a while I take a real ciggie. And then a packet. Then on the e-cig for weeks, then ah whatever, have a real Camel, a packet... In the end I just quit all nicotine.

It is like living in a small flat, braai on a electric grill in the kitchen. When you get out, like say go camping, you make a fire.

Whenever the right situation presented itself, I had a real ciggie. I realized by staying addicted and not being able to stop the real one, it is best to stop everything to do with nicotine.

Don't diss something you haven't tried. I was a seasoned smoker for many years and NEVER EVER thought I could stop after many attempts. Then I discovered this ecig. Wow, it tastes great. Much better than a normal cig. I now feel that I can give this up as well but I enjoy it too much. I will vape this till I die. It is lekka. My wife agrees with me 100%.
The only problem is you have to know what ecig to use , what coil resistance and what eliquid.
Took me some months but I am there now.
Tried many different flavours but kept going back to menthol 18mg. That now is my favourite although I never smoked menthol. The throat hit is great. Smooth and lots of vapour.

That's because you're addicted to nicotine. You may have removed the other chemicals, but you're still dependent on the nicotine.

I must add:
www.eciggies.co.za now has the LavaTube variable voltage but it comes with stuff I don't need and is too expensive.
Also it is the large one that my wife cannot use in public. I want the mini. Cost is R895.00 but from www.apollo.com it is R500.00+- and 20% discount if you know the code.
SA is too expensive so I get all my juice and HW from the US.
Juice here is R60 per 10ml. US is R15.00 for same.

www.vaping101 sells the first generation stuff. Waste of time.
Best in SA is www.eciggies.co.za but just too expensive for me.

Check out the SA subforum of the biggest ecig forum out:

I am Johnny2puffs

Hmmm... I have an extremely high success rate on the Leo, hardware is solid and pricing is decent.

Please elaborate on "waste of time". I would like to know what I could do to improve on my current results.

Sorry Mike. I see you do have the Leo Sport. I have one but they are just too expensive and the atomizers last me 2 days at R130.00 each and only available in 3 ohm. Great stuff but;
For the seasoned vapers this will not do anymore. I got a Leo to 510 converter and buy 510 atomizers and cartomizers at R14.00 each. I can also now use 510 tanks and different types of Dual Coils at different resistance.
Problem is SA websites don't give voltages and resistance values. This is VERY important for best flavour.
The Leo is 3.7v and the atty is 3 ohm. This only gives 4.6 watts. Vapers go for 8 watts for optimal flavour. So the Leo's atty should be at most 2 ohm.
Read up www.e-cigarette-forum.com

I think Leo now makes a Variable Voltage ecig as well. 3 to 5 or 6 volts. It is called "Innokin" similar to the LavaTube VV. This is the 3'rd generation. The latest and the best.

How exactly are they better than normal cigarettes though?

You haven't stopped 'smoking' IMO.
Stopped smoking tobacco. Nicotine isn't the problem really.

The only way ... And I really mean the ONLY way to overcome a bad habit or addiction is to substitute it with something better. Because the reason for the problem in the first place is the real problem.
There is no problem. Nicotine has advantageous effects and the only serious downside is the most common way of ingesting it.

So what you are basically saying is you found a less harmful way to get your fix?

Why not just "smoking" altogether - get rid of the nicotine addiction entirely.
Why would you want to do that?

There was a newsflash in Beeld yesterday that e-cigs are going to be banned in SA, a new law is being promulgated.
Wouldn't surprise me. The killjoy puritans have shown their true colours in the face of electronic cigarettes.

Nicotine is not a harmful substance. One can vape all day and night unlike coffee drinkers. Caffeine is more harmful.
I now can't stand smoke but love vaping. What if I vape zero nicotine, only flavours? Will that also be banned?

That is what I plan doing. Bring in zero nicotine juice.
I know there are regulations coming in on the nicotine but not heard of anything about the hardware? Will just have to abide by the rules I suppose. We will find a way to get our fix without resorting to tobacco.

Regarding your pricing argument above... I have been considering reducing prices on spares and juices substantially. Just taking a while to work out the figures and see what is doable.

Will also check with Boge about these variable efforts. Honestly did not know anything about them.

Mike, read the forum I gave you. It is very large and will take you a week to get to know what us vapers Realy want and buy.

I did ask www.eciggies.co.za if they going to get the LavaTube VV some time ago and they now have it but at a ridiculous price. And they put stuff in the kit that I will never use. I can import it cheaper with stuff that I want.
eciggies will be stuck with the LaveTube until they sell it without the Ego adapters and Ego cartos and attys.

Eciggies price on the LavaTube is R895.00 plus postage.
Import it from the US at R550.00. Post free. And I get the proper atomizers.
SA eliquid is R60.00 to R120.00 per 10ml. I import it from US at R14.00.
Why is SA soooo expensive?

It is different when you import for resale Marco.
My juice orders are in the region of R14k to R16k a pop. Of that, between R4k to R5k is just shipping (kid you not). Shipping from China is very expensive. Shipping from the USA is way cheaper (used to import RC Helis from the USA for resale) but not many decent suppliers for bulk import from the USA.
Then there are customs duties and tax. Depending how the invoice is declared, duties can klap you up to 30%. Now that I have stuck to a single supplier I have managed to "train" them and get this under control.

As a retailer, you also need to factor in the fact that stock could sit. That alone warrants a decent profit margin. I have old model kits for example. They were once popular then better products came out as the technology evolved. Now these kits will probably be thrown out.

If there is a problem with a product, it is too expensive to send the faulty itmea back to China so most of us retailers just swallow the cost of the faulty item. This adds to the retail price too to reduce and potential losses.

Now with the above said...
The reason I have been considering a price decrease is because of the following factors.
1. Exchange rate has remained below R8 for a while.
2. I seldom get hit with huge import duties. Normally around 10 to 15% now.
3. I used to stock a range of products and now limit the hardware range and juice range. Most of what I import sells and needs replacing. So no more dead stock.

I am looking at around 30% reduction across the range. Will still be more than what an individual could import for, but from the reasons stated above I hope you can understand why.

That was a lot to type on a cellphone. Need a break now :)
