The speed test is screwed. remember it didn't work for a couple of days. during these days they compressed the image and its probably on 0.4 MB in stead of 0.5MB so the page loads a little faster and this shows higher speeds.

so when somebody complains, they tell them to goto the speed test and then the results are "more" than they are paying for.

besides can you guys really expect telkom to keep everybody's speeds as advertised? i think not. there are to many factors that go beyond telkom's greed.

an example of this is 3G, why is it not always the same speed? it depends on the time of day. thus DSL is the same. If you want that sort of speed constantly then you need direct internet or a lower contention ratio connection. yes dsl is tooooo expensive. yes dsl is toooooo slow. other products exist that are faster, but, R30 000 p/m is a little expensive for a residential customer!
