Streaming through 10/100 mbps

Hi, sorry if this was answered before.

I going to get a Media box to stream movies from my PC to another room. I see a lot of the cheaper media boxes only have 10/100 mbps. I just want to make sure it's enough to stream 1080p movies. I'd think it would be but I just want to make sure.

If you're using Ethernet it'll be fine. It's slow wifi that can cause issues.
 
Thanks for the replies. I'll be using a gigabit ethernet connection, not that it would make a difference for a 10/100 device.
 
100Mbit/s is still, if I recall, about twice the bitrate of a Bluray disc, so no reason to worry.
 
IME you need about 7.5MB/s for uncompressed 1080p video, so 60Mb/s is way under 100Mb/s. You'll be fine.
