Streaming up, TV watching down

Someone over at dstv should read this report. It's what us consumers have been asking for, for years.

Those companies who refuse to innovate, are soon going to be irrelevant.

People have enough spare time to watch four and a half hours of TV and day and then watch streamed content as well. I want to go and live there.

DSTV is actually releasing some cool stuff now.

Problem is not enough people have adsl. Unemployment in ZA is horrendous. We need more middle class people taking up adsl/fibre.

Americans are turning away from live TV on the tube and tuning in to streaming services, a Nielsen report says.

Surprising news is surprising :p

According to the Nielsen report, which came out Wednesday, the average daily time spent watching live TV fell 12 minutes in the third quarter to four hours and 32 minutes. That means it dropped nearly 4 percent to 141 hours per month.

Wow, that's a lot of TV.
