Does this imply accepting the status quo? With an ill-educated, alleged criminal as president? With corrupt criminals in the cabinet? In an atmosphere of discrimination, crime, fear and corruption? Not good enough for me to be SA Neutral.

Don't get me wrong, this is absolutely disgusting behaviour and these guys deserve to be punished but obviously the motive here was not murder. People are making out like she was tied up with rope by two men in white cloaks with pointy hats and then dragged behind their bakkie for a few miles. One thing's for sure - this white on black incident will draw some international attention (after all, this is the most vile, inhumane thing we've read about all year). :rolleyes:

You believe I exaggerated? I simply stated a fact. It is the second incident at UFS. It's a fact. Don't draw conclusions for me.
 
Well, slap them with assault charges and be done with them! To hell with the racism aspect! That is insignificant! They assaulted her and they should pay the piper for it! I don't care what your driving force is, if you commit a crime you have to suffer for it. Racism is an ideology or a belief. It sits in people's heads. Getting all excited about it, does everything but get rid of it. :) Grow up world! These guys might be racists but it is besides the point. They hurt somebody they should face judgment for that crime!!!!
 
:erm: I would also like to know just how far the dragging was. Not that this makes it non-offensive. i hope they get the book thrown at them for assault etc etc.

But like was said when 3 black men rape a woman, beat up a 2 year old and kill the dad it is not racist. hell I long for the days when reporters did not twist and turn everything :(

No, I don't think being "neutral" implies apathy or complacency with what goes on around you; more that it takes a stand against extremist philosophies by finding the middle-ground whenever possible. I like to think of it as a Stand Together philosophy :p

Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but at least that's what it means to me :)
