Study paints grim telecoms picture

our company which I could say is a medium business that relies on inet access waited 7 months for a 256k lease line... they refused to supply our company with ADSL as there was no more ports on the exchange... htis is sad :(

Ja well..

Community service centres hardly get vandalised if they are owned locally and Telkom is seen as a partner.

Aahhh.... but herein lies the catch 22... maybe Telkom are by some remote chance not seen as a partner?

I would expect vandalism... just my humble opinion... but obviously out of pure frustration of having this thing take up space that doesn't actually serve the public, but milks it.

Yep, another voice that the DoC will ignore. I wonder who they will listen to....

The only way for real action is when Trevor decides to do something. The rest of the government still struggles with the basic rules for Solitaire.

We seem to guage our success by the tax cuts and this "economic success" we find ourselves in... but apparently it's not all rosy for the poor. Just ask those who have to use a basic phone service. Nice for the long distance and overseas callers... not so nice for squatters and unemployed. A bit of a "false economy"? p.s. I'm no economist, but just trying to imagine all this "success hype" from another point of view we often ignore...
