Oh freeking fantastic. Now someone can steal my car, anti-hijack kicks in, he high-tails it outa-there and I get the freeking fine.

Someone please shoot the writers of this doc in the foot so it hurts. :D
 
Will if they're going to implement this, they simply need to be strict enough to the taxi's and peace will follow. Always seems that the people who break the law once in a while get the most penalised, yet the ones who break it all the time (taxi's) don't even get stopped.

so technically, if a stalker is following you, and you cant get her on the stalking charges, you can always get her on the convoy charges
 
More laws to punish the law abiding while the taxis and other people with their hoenderhokke get away with it again as usual...
Following distance se moer man, how do they expect to measure that, and what are they going to do about taxi's who like to tailgate? Nothing. More racist laws aimed at making the remaining whites leave SA.
 
this will not happen, they cant even keep crime at bay.. first world driving rules in a confused 3rd world country with corrupt everything..

Those 2 are insanely stupid... How do you pass a car if you have to keep the following distance?

Also nothing outside the windows... What about my Boere tan ;)

Um...you move over to the lane to the right or to the other side of the road?
 
I'm all for the R1000 for not keeping a safe following distance.

Think "pile-up" in case of the car in front of you stopping/slowing down. Or, how about someone running in to you because of following you too closely.

Hell, I'd even report tailgaters; my way of getting my own back for them sitting on my arse.
