If I have moved from my current address and updated my address details via Vodacom4me, do I still need to go to a Vodashop and change it there as well?

Hi

No, call into the call centre 111 and they can do it for you without you having to go to vodashop.

Regards
VodacomData

If you update your address on vodacom4me then that is where your vodacom billing etc will be sent....but for RICA you still need to go into a store as face to face verification needs to be done. Not sure if you were enquiring about RICA, thought I would just throw that in there FYI.

I had to phone 111 to get my billing address changed. I tried changing it on the vodacom4me site but it didn't affect the address on my invoices.

I stand corrected then and appologise for my error. I have only used vodacom4me once to change my banking details and it worked 100%.....so I assumed the same would go for the postal address change. I changed my postal once but I did that on the proper system we use in the shops. Rather call 111 and have them do it for you :)

Perhaps to prevent people from puttong funny things on their billing address as a prank...for example:

Mr. Poephol Sakkie Sakkie
K@K Straat
Never Never Land

:-)

Now why would you want to do that? Maybe because you're a poephol?

I change my address details via Discovery's web site and that reflects on their system right away.

You do get some people who would do something like that.

Say now someone gets a hold of you Vodacom4me login details, and decides to do that to you?

So what if someone gets hold of your online banking details? Should we stop having these services and do everything like the old days?

Just phoned 111 and Vodacom's system is offline. :D

They said they'll phone me back once they're online again.

The stupid question thread has led to a heated debate:D

Then you should be worried :D

I'm not saying they should stop these services completely, its just a neccesary step to protect your information.

What would be a cool idea though is that say you change your details online, then a Vodacom Rep calls YOU to confirm these changes.

I did get a sms that my registration details have been amended.

But... if the changes you make, doesn't reflect on Vodacom's system.....can someone tell me why do V4M make provision for address details in your account?

Doesn't make sense. I'm gonna delete it from all my accounts.
