STV Arena Treasure

Just wanted to know, what sort of treasure has dropped for you at the arena in STV?

I have tried on a few occasions to try loot the chest but keep getting heavily ganked.

Is it worth fighting for ever?
 
I was 48, and running past the arena when the /y event started... When i got in, I noticed a 44 belf priest was trying to open it... I proceeded to drain his mana and nuke him. I got the arena trinket (+5stam) and lvl 45 boe cloth bracers. Your class affects what armor drops
 
being still very new to wow i have no idea what you guys are talking about... care to elaborate please?
 
There's an event in Stranglethorn Vale, at the Gurubashi Arena, where once an hour a pirate captain drops a chest with loot in it in the middle, & says "have at it guys, whoever wins gets the loot".
 
Who do you fight if there is no one? also where is the chest located in the arena?
 
I've never done it myself, but I'm pretty sure if nobody else is there you just casually walk up & grab the loot.

And then promptly get jumped on by Optioncarduser in the process :p

*lol* Pretty much...

I've gone there plenty times ALWAYS to be ganked stukkend.

You'll often find a lvl 70/80 standing guard while a lowbie takes the loot...


There are 3 major gank fests in Ganklethorn Vale:

1) Gurubashi Arena when the chest drops
2) Hunter's camp when enough lowbies are around
3) Sunday afternoons' Booty Bay Fishing compo
 
+1 Voicy, when theres a high level guarding a low level, you know that low level is a twink.

I generally run in, spot the high level, 1-2shot the low level (pisses them off to no end) and die
 
I love the fact that the fishing comp is a gank fest. It can get annoying but it means winning the comp requires a solid strat.

I had 2 mates run interference when I won. Worked like a charm.
 
Mmm, well im lvl 66 now. Does the loot match your level or is it not worth it at my current level?

Regarding Ganklethornvale, me and my guild usually join on a sunday afternoon in a raid party and gank every horde we spot. Lvl 80's can't win against 20-30 lvl 40-70's! It brings great pleasure to my heart when I think how many times I have been ganked while questing and run back only to be ganked again.
