The Rex is still one of my favourite cars - the STI, obviously, with the ironing board on the back, and the gold OZ's. For non-Subaru lovers, you're missing the point: it's a road-legal rally car. It's just made of win.
The non-STI the OP is on about is still an awesome car, even limited to 209. Yeah, you can get a few others from ze Germans for about the same price, but come on: it's a Subaru! Also, the only other car with an exhaust-note that awesome is probably the C63 AMG (jizz!) - but that's from another planet, entirely.
