Submarine station gets orange pipes!!

I was driving around Mtunzini today and notices these orange pipes going all the way from the N2 to Telkoms submarine station. putting 2 and 2 together I can only deduce that these are the new fibre conduits for Neotel's (orange) international link up.

In the first pic are the pipes,

and the second is the pipes with the Telkom Submarine station in the background.....they go in that direction!:D

TBH, i must say, i'm not entirely sure the Neotel are that zealous with their branding that they'll use orange ducting.. it could just be Telscum adding more connections or bandwidth and orange is the colour of the ducting being used.

Granted I'd like it to be Neotel, but it just seems to be excessive if they're burying orange ducting because its their company colour.
 
They look yellow to me :o
 
The second photo has pipes that look orange, but that manky type of orange you get polycop piping in... dirty orange... could almost pass for yellow in the right light.

I agree - it could almost pass for orange in the right light. (like the orange reflecting off the orange safety netting) ;)

Am I colour blind but those pipes look yellow to me
 
@Leftfoot: Thanks for the pics. I wonder how long it will take to fill those conduits and supply services through them though!
 
Dont know, but the contractor look like hes moving it up!:D
From what I can make out they have made it to the N2, I suppose then it goes to New Germany or Empangeni....maybe quicker than most expect!:cool:

There are 2 pipes being routed, I cant remember how many new cables are comming on shore here? (2 maybe?)...maybe one is spare (for expansion)
