Subscriber selected DStv channels demanded by customers

You could allocate in % data used to download 'stuff' vs regular. I'm it'd still be more than a DSTV sub.

I'd also be peeved if I had to do all the housework while the "man" just vegetates in front of the TV all weekend watching sport.

so instead of calling people dumb nuts, let's look at the real problem. Multichoice has software that they believe only allows bouqets....it never crossed their minds to customize it to allow individual channel selection.

let me repeat that.....it never crossed Multichoice's mind to have the software customized. :(
 
emailing them a bunch of email addresses is not going to do anything. Vote with your wallet- thats the only way to get them to listen.
 
Yeah well Multichoice, my "economies of scale" (aka Back Pocket) was also taken into consideration and it told you to go f*** yourself ages ago. I'm not paying for other people's sport.

Also, looking at the kind of revenue these guys have been rolling in for years now those HD channels that were added feels like winning a Mcdonalds Cheeseburger after playing the lottery every week for 15 years.

Anyway, time to see how my torrents are doing.

The problem with that is that DSTV subscriber numbers are increasing. When TopTV came into the market, they came out with a better bouquet (DSTV Compact) for R260 that undercut TopTV's R270 offering.

We need some companies with balls to make the first move. Consumers can't be expected to rally behind a company that's not even making an effort to be better than the incumbent.

Look at what happened in the ISP space with uncapped when a few gutsy companies (ironically led by Multichoice) took some big chances. Totally transformed it in the space of a few months.

DSTV is a monopoly and can very easily afford to undercut any newcomers.
Especially when they are making 8 billion a year profits out of their [-]subscribers[/-] suckers.
Don't expect any gutsy companies to survive against that kind of monopolistic behaviour.
But then, this has all been explained to you before, but you seem to blithely go on posting the same crap over and over again.
So forgive us if we don't take you seriously.
 
Costly it may be, but watching Chad do his thing in 1080i full HD is worth it for me.

I said nothing here about a small company having to challenge them did I? How about Internet Solutions bringing us Netflix or something? That'd be an awesome way for them to sell uncapped, in a bundle with something like that.

I gave up my DStv based on this issue. How many others out there are not using DStv for this reason. I would be interested. Secondly the existing bouquets just don't have all the channels I want. Give me a bouquet that has CNN, Sky, a movie channel, Discovery and history channel on it at the lower cost end and I may consider signing up again.

Seems to be a general trend around here, I've had people tell me that I'm not using my DSTV enough to justify me paying for it, and think they know enough about my viewing habits to say alternatives exist on the internet, assuming I haven't looked or aren't capable of googling.
