I'm not sure if anyone else experienced this today, but colour me surprised when I got an e-mail from Web Africa saying I had reached my monthly usage limit. I logged into the usage console and they're saying that in the past two days I downloaded almost 3TB of data! Absolutely ludicrous. Not only did they deduct all my available usage, but they also proceeded to cause the automatic topup limit of 500GB to go off.
This, might I add, despite my router reporting that in the past 5 days the household has only used 300GB, which is roughly in line with normal. Additionally, the dashboard shows no other lines having connected, so it's not like someone unscrupulously was using my connection without me knowing.
Now they're looking to invoice me for 8 grand beginning next month? Absolutely ****ing not.
Getting hold of their support over WhatsApp is a joke in its own right, talk about degrading service quality.
Clearly something has happened with the systems that calculate usage, it's gone and erroneously allocated hundreds of GB towards my account and proceeded to try bill me in kind. I expect this to be corrected immediately.
