2 of my friends committed suicide. At times I'm still angry at them.

How is it not selfish?

I - thankfully - haven't had anyone commit suicide around me, but my aunt tried and didn't even think about who would look after her two young kids nor gave a thought to anyone left over - her parents (my gradparents).

Selfish... as depressed as the person may feel there is always a way out. Feeling depressed everynow and then is normal, it is up to you to lift yourself out of it and make that call to someone you love or a helpline or something

My friend shot herself when she was 16, I miss her but am SO mad at her at the same time. It's never ever worth it

"Selfish" doesn't come into it when you are depressed. There is no other way out that you can see. Everyone says there is, and those people are right, but you will not see it that way, and they are not in your position so you promptly accept that they do not understand. That anything they have gone through is different to what you are going through, even if it isn't.

Oh right - totally forgot about that ... if you do suffer, then it's alright to off yourself and leave your 3 year old with your elderly parents. I mean, chrnic depression gives license to hurt others ... right ?

so your suggesting those who suffer from depression just get this random feeling one day and decide to hurt everyone around them? ........right
