Sun java site

Hello guys,

Can anyone download at good speeds from the Sun Java site? I'm getting 15kB/s max and my pings are all timing out.

Pinging java.sun.com [72.5.124.55] with 32 bytes of data:

Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

I could barely get into it the other night, kept on dropping the connection.

So my guess is that the problem lies at the other end, and not with Iburst?

Guessing so, I had the problem on SAIX ADSL.

Then that sheds some light on my problem. I'm releived that it's not an Iburst related problem.

I downloaded the latest version of Java off that site last night and it was totally fine, full speeds for me.

And most sites arent pingable btw GBM. If you can normally ping a site then pinging it can be used to check if its down, but getting time outs is what happens when you ping most sites. The web server has to allow itself to be pingable, and most dont.
