He has the flu ... he is tired ... has not had a proper night's rest in 2 and a half weeks ... I just felt so sorry for him to show him this hurtful e-mail, but I will do so in a day or 2, once he has recovered from the flu a little bit.
 
Is it the type of email where you suspect he is having an affair. If it is, tell him that you've seen the email. and you would like to know whats happening.
Is it someone that you mutually know?

Funny enough: I would prefer to hear about this round about now: While I'm dealing with a lot of issues, something else is just another thing. When I have finally sorted out my crap and everything seems like it's going well again and suddenly I'm hit out of the blue with some new crisis, puts me back a bit.

Huh? It is an email that would hurt him if he read its contents and I am considering protecting him from it. Your readings skills are bad :)
