Sunsynk + Home Assistant

@Slip maybe a arb request , and I have no idea where you can put it. But Daily Total COnsumption? Ie: Load + Non essentials?

I think the formulae is probably something like this

Grid Purchase + (( Daily Load - Daily Solar - ( Daily Charge - Daily Discharge ))

Doesnt seem right.

I suppose a more basic answer is just Daily Solar Prouction + Daily Purchased? Thats all the inputs technically.

Like in the space at the top between DailyLoad and Daily Solar.

If you are pumping this into the Energy Dashboard you have it already so might be easier to just access that sensor and pull it in here if you want.

The one called “Home”.

Otherwise there may actually be a daily sensor off the Sunsynk already, I’ll have a dig later.

Hmmm, you mean a calculated HA entity? This is what my energy dash uses but its also only updating hourly.

The right is the Energy one. Their calc runs ( Grid + Solar + Discharge - Charge ) : 4.5 + 3.9 + 1.4 - 1.7 = 8.1 but in reality, if I bought x and generated y, then I used x+y, regardless of battery. But I suppose that's maybe silly as the battery is just a loan amount .

I've pushed release 1.3.2. Includes improved flow logic.

  • New sensor entity added - grid_sell_day_77
  • Daily Grid Sell Total displayed on the card

Wouldn't consumption just be:
Consumption = Battery Charge + Daily Load + Grid Buy

If you have sufficient solar it will cover both load and battery charge and or supplement with grid where necessary

You'd double add battery charge and grid if at any point the grid topped it up

It’s always been spot on with the Sunsynk itself within reason of when it last updated of course.

I’m sure there was a way to access the Energy card data but buggered if I remember how now.

Updates

Internal calculations for essential and non-essential power will be ignored if sensors are specified e.g. Solar Assistant provides sensors for these two attributes. Setting the attribute values to none will use the card logic to calculate.

Couple of sensor equivalents I couldn't find on the Deye (solarman):
  • batdischargeday_71
  • batchargeday_70
  • inverter_load_freq_192
And then grid_status_194 returns "On-grid"
