Nope.Shot in that dark, do you have Grid peak shaving turned on?
Yep priority load or priority battery. I always prioritize load then what’s left goes to battery.I don't recall, isn't there also a setting where you can configure the system to prioritize charging battery over other things?

How long has this system been in use? Had it worked before?Firmware update done by Sunsynk - still the same issue.
@AchmatK tagging you here in case you have any input (fine if you don't, just saw an old post of yours on PowerForum discussing the topic).
4 months - and yes, very smoothly. How long has this system been in use? Had it worked before?
Share some of your other battery setting and inverter setting pages.
If your battery is at 90% then it should use the solar to supply loads.
Issue is at 6:35pm, when SOC is 97%, he wants the system to pull the load from batteries, but the system is pulling from grid (load is approx 600w). His time of use settings seem fine but something is not workingI'm struggling to comprehend the issue... morning and all that - probably not you, but could you elaborate what the issue is here?
I’ve done that per time slot, disabled time of use and adjusted soc AND a firmware update. NOTHING works until I do a factory reset (and then in this case it’s fine for a week or two, then breaks randomly…)What happens if you disable the Grid Charge time slots? Not Time Of Use, just the 6 underneath that.
I am certain I experienced the same last week (in the first few days of inverter use). Grid was ticked (but my SoC was 100%) and in my case PV refused to charge the battery, even where there was enough capacity to charge the battery.I’ve done that per time slot, disabled time of use and adjusted soc AND a firmware update. Not sure if this has been checked - but what is your max discharge rate set at? I'm not too familiar with the SunSynk menus (I have a Deye), but it should be somewhere under battery settings.
Thanks - i've done all of this several times. I KNOW how it should work. It works as it should for a time, but then breaks - once you've had to change the SOC once or twice for bad weather or severe load shedding.I am certain I experienced the same last week (in the first few days of inverter use). Now Grid is unticked on all of them (see my thread on my install with all my questions) and the SoC is 20 for all slots. Having done this, the system is now working and using all spare capacity to charge battery and if load is too high, then also takes from battery but not grid
This is what it's doing right now (solar assistant stats) since it looks like my Sunsynk Logger went offline about an hour ago.

When we had load shedding last night scheduled for 8pm - I set the Grid Charge on and 70% SoC for 6pm slot and the inverter did what it needed to do. This is the history for yesterday to today (right now)

So I would recommend that 1 :-
I also suspect the app may be corrupting data sent to the inverter if you make changes via the app (just a thought) <- So do the above on the inverter itself - as a form of another test.
- Turn of grid charge on all slots and see what happens (assuming your setting is load priority) and timer is set.
- Wait 30 mins and see what happens
- Then drop your SoC to 50% for all slots and see what happens
Can you take pic of the second system mode screen.
Correct - I'm lucky enough to have some arb software bug. I'm not lying when I say I can factory reset the inverter --> RE-USE THE SAME SETTINGS --> and it will work as intended...I'll try and assist when I get home but from these screens you should be using the battery instead of grid. Only excess pv should go to charging after supplying loads
Maybe request a specific software version.Correct - I'm lucky enough to have some arb software bug. I'm not lying when I say I can factory reset the inverter --> RE-USE THE SAME SETTINGS --> and it will work as intended...
The only problem is getting SunSynk support to give a rats ass![]()
