So we got home last night after the rain.

Lights out.

Turn lights on lights flicker every min or so.

Was wondering what happened seems to be the sunsynk connected to the grid.

AC light is on it sees the grid but if I turn up the soc I hear a click every minute or two but no connection bump up the batteries due to the "grid not there?

Anyway I switch the grid switch off at the DB, now the ac light is off and zero flickering.

Any idea what's happening will get the electrician out but just curious... Sunsynk looks normal otherwise

Maybe your grid was unstable at that point, happens

It's just bizarre that everything appears normal the ac light is on but it won't draw from the grid

System runs perfectly on batteries.

System runs perfectly when there is solar like today.

But ac light is on but won't draw from ac

Maybe the rain exposed an issue such as a damaged cable (grid supply) or the like. Best for a sparky to check this

Any burning smell near the DB? I had some weird behaviour when one of the wires behind the inverter output breaker melted. Best to get someone to come check it out. For now just leave it in a state where it's working.

What happens when you push the changeover to run off Eskom only?

It's in eskom only now zero issues.

So in summary.

Sunsynk on with battery/solar only no issue (ac/esmom off)

Sunsynk switched off and using eskom. No issue.

Sunsynk on with eskom on ac light on won't draw from eskom. Lights flicker.

Agreed best to get sparky.

Please provide feedback when issue is rectified. Also got a sunsynk so it never hurts to build up the troubleshoot bible

Collected and PCB replaced zero issues up and running again - took two weeks
