Super Moon Tonight

Shot with a Canon 7d, 100-400 and 1.4x tc. Controlled with DSLR controller on SGS 2. Metered off the center of the moon but pulled exposure back 1 stop in post. 1/200, f/11, iso 400

Yeah judging by the 2 phazes, we missed a proper full moon well unless you decided to get up at 5 this morning, if you see your old one the bottom right has some shadows and this one top left.

Well, to be honest it not as magical for me anymore.... It was last night when I started.

It was just getting the right settings and focus and your done.

Better for me tonight because it was almost perfectly aligned with the road outside my house. :)

Yeah yeah, I know way to much ISO... was trying to get a sharper image but I think 800 is way to much... Joke is I have my camera set up oustside plugged into my android tablet and controlling it from my PC :)

Told you I am lazy tonight.....
 
I wish the dam clouds/mist or whatever that crap is in the air, can go away so I can continue playing :(
 
Oh well the odd mist just does not wanna go away so this is about the best I can do tonight :(

You could do what most people seem to be doing and just max out the sharpness slider! :)

I was more interested in the ring than the moon itself. I don't recall ever seeing it before, at least not as pronounced.
 
Nice photo, koeksGHT! The odd mist was a little irritating but I already saw many great clean moon shots.
