They throw all their momentum away with silly mistakes. The earlier goal kicks which their flyhalf missed didn't help with the team’s confidence. Losing Stirzaker early on messed with their moral and mindset.

The Rebels disappointed, they need more leadership, and under pressure they keep on throwing the ball. It is going to be a hard week on the coaching team.

Not to mention that the Blues gave many penalties away where the Rebels was unable to capitalise. I doubt that I will back the Rebels on winning more matches against the stronger teams.

At least the debutants have shown to be promising Wallaby prospects down the line.

Amanaki had a good game though, but his supporting players lacked to support his carries. The two stand out Rebels today, Amanaki and Lopeti Timani.

The Blues though, these guys are hungry.
 
Is this having matches on a Thursday gonna be a regular thing?
 
Sad to watch one sided games.....sticking to SA games when I'm off the couch when leg heals.........

Wellington - Super Rugby will retain its much-criticised conference format next year, while tweaking kick-off times to trial Thursday night matches and increase the number of afternoon games.

The Australian Rugby Union said experimenting with Thursday night matches in the first two rounds of the season would "extend the Super Rugby weekend for fans".

They have much Super Rugby experience amongst the pack, but the backline is lacking and the bench is also lacking. The Hurricanes are playing a very strong team, there may be chance that we will see today all over again and maybe by a larger margin.

Watch Timothy Lafaele, he may surprise the Hurricanes.
