How did the chalk lines get so messed up at FS stadium? Quite a skaam.

Great 1st half, got a bit loose and scrappy in the 2nd. Cheetahs good value for their win. Attrition rates, on both teams, is going to hurt. We only 2 rounds into this years Super rugby and already we seeing some long term injuries to key personnel, Damian and Howard being the most prominent. With all SA rugby's depth playing abroad, this is going to hurt our teams long term prospects.

Also impressed by the ref. Very good game from him, too.

Ref was superb!!

I did find it a bit odd though, that the Lions and Stormers games, against foreign opposition, were reffed by local refs. I would have expected local for the Cheetah/Bulls fixture and a neutral in either one of the other fixtures.

I know refs are meant to be totally impartial but we all know that simply doesn't happen.

Yep. He was quite refreshing. The game flowed nicely and he wasn't overbearing. Was quite surprised to see a Japanese mad overseeing the match.

It is time to put up big scores against the Sunwolves, Horie and Tanaka is being rested. There most capable hooker, Hino, which is a bench sitter is apparently out… and Taulagi is out due to operational reasons, whatever that means. They will be sending a 25-man squad to SA. Having no core hookers in the team with only one backup to replace the two hookers will mean that their set pieces will be up to schit. No core scrummies. Still the same team with less depth… They are really pushing to show why they don’t belong in this competition. Big squad, which has the talent, yet they don’t play the better players…

Very good game by the Cheetahs.

I was quite impressed they only lost by 3 points to the Lions last week so thought I should give them a punt this week.

I wasn't really impressed by the Bulls last week or this week. They did well to comeback but...2 losses of 2 does not bode well going forward.

John Mitchell's US Eagles win Americas title

Washington - David Tameilau scored his second try in the 80th minute and Ben Cima's conversion kick lifted the United States to a 27-27 draw with a second-string Argentina to capture the Americas Rugby Championship on Saturday.

Both teams finished 4-0 with one drawn in the Six Nations-style event but by taking a bonus point for four tries in the concluding match, the visiting USA Eagles took the crown with 22 points in the table to 21 for 2016 champions Argentina.

Super Rugby Jaguares centre Gabriel Ascarate scored a try in the 63rd minute to give Argentina a 27-15 lead.

But the Americans, who are coached by former All Black coach John Mitchell, pulled within 27-20 on Dolan's try down the wing in the 74th minute, setting the stage for Tameilau's closing heroics after Cima had been stopped just short of the line.

Mitchell is starting to make progress, good.

Good win by the Cheetahs and deserved win over the Bulls. Sharks really surprised me with their win over the Brumbies.

Competition is heating up nicely and you can get an idea who will get to the playoffs. Early days, but the NZ teams looks favorites again this year.
