Pity you can't get the Cambridge Soundworks anymore, I have in the lounge and in my PC room, for their size they pump!!! and back then (7-8 years ago) they cost +-R2500

PC speakers are awesome.
BUT
You can get a (superior) HI-FI (read: not a radio/cd player!) set for roughly the same price.
A PROPER AMP -> R3000
1 x PROPER HI-FI front speaker set -> R 800
1 x PROPER HI-FI rear speaker set -> R 600
1 x PROPER centre/sub -> 500
This amp will be faaaar better than the puny amp found in the 5500s.
The above prices are estimates for an Acoustic Research speaker set and Sony AMP. You could get a better AMP (say, from Marantz - unfortunately that would cost about R10 000).
Sound from these speakers are AWESOME AND you have an upgrade path from a suitably impressive AMP.

I won't buy there again. They don't keep stock of anything and whenever I have ordered from them in the past, they promise "tomorrow" and it becomes a week or more.
I bought a complete box from prophecy.co.za last year and had this very problem. I made the stupid mistake of buying something from them again this year and had the same run-around. Not impressed.
