Surtie Inheritance Scam

I received word that Pastoor Johann's Lambo broke down on the N1 with all the payout cheques.

He has hit a big pothole, we need to funds for a 255/30/20 Pirelli P Zero tyre (the pastoor doesn't like Pilot sports) + a new magnesium rim.

As much as I'd like for every beneficiary to get paid, I need to point out to the misinformed that there is no settlement yet, so there's no money to pay you with.

We are still waiting for the judge to deliver her judgement which was due on 26 April. She's been reported and has promised to do so by 20 May.

Meanwhile, there is additional media exposure for the case expected on 29 May:

I must say that for people who don't want to be exposed, they being really stubborn with agreeing to settle. Even though this is being used as a political gimick, hopefully it will bring the facts into the attention of the public.

I've been told more than one Tier 1 media company has agreed to cover the event

Even in the parallel universe where Koornbanally wins the case, what makes you think any of those funds will be shared?
 
Since I'm new here, let me tell everybody where I stand

Did I give money to this? YES
Do I believe the court case on it's own can be won? YES
Do I think this will be settled out of court? I HOPE SO BUT I DON'T BELIEVE IT WILL BE
Do I think there are people who have been scammed? YES DEFINITELY
Do I think everybody who gave money have been scammed? I'M NOT SURE. I HOPE NOT BECAUSE I AM ONE OF THOSE WHO HAVE GIVEN MONEY, BUT WE WON'T KNOW FOR SURE UNTIL THERE'S MONEY TO BE PAID OUT

His not the main party claiming. What we were told is that his not so much involved anymore. As I said we won't know for certain until there's money. When will there be money is another story completely

Why would whoever the main party happens to be share their inheritance with you?
 
I saw somewhere else on here earlier that the guy claiming against Vodacom also used outside funding and didn't wanted to except the money Vodacom put on the table because he owe the funders more than that

Kyk meneer, ek sien jy het nou al hierdie vraag al baie gevra oor die jare, en laat ek dit vir jou so stel:

Die bedraggie wat ek geskenk het is so ongeveer wat ek in my spaarrekening oor 'n tydperk van sowat drie of vier maande in druk nadat ek genoeg op my familie spandeer het. So dit gaan my nie juis breek nie. Ek is nie desperaat vir 'n uitbetaling nie.

Soos ek voorheen genoem het, is ek nie seker of ons wel 'gescam' is nie. Ek hoop nie dis waar nie, maar as dit so is, then so be it.

Ek kan beslis bevestig dat as daar wel uitbetaling plaasvind, gaan ek beslis nie die geld weier nie.

Ek het maar op hierdie perron verskyn om die feite van die saak te bevestig vir die partye wie geld binnekort verwag. Hulle wag tevergeefs, want hierdie saak gaan nog baie lank neem om opgelos te word.

Let me correct you


Based on the Howie Test (a simple test to check if your money went to an investment - ie you are an investor):
An investment contract is:
  1. An investment of money - Yes
  2. In a common enterprise - Yes
  3. With the expectation of profit - Yes
  4. To be derived from the efforts of others - Yes
So you are an investor
Now if you hadn't paid money on the expectation of profit,you'd be a beneficiary
 
I hear you. I'm not arguing with anybody as I said before. Its just that the poeple in the "common enterprise" you speak of prefer to be known as beneficiaries
 
I just want to also say that this is not the only thing I gave money to in church. Our churches are mostly poor and need help from the congregation. I will admit that that this IS the only one that promised money in return
