Suspension over racist e-mail

Well if the said Afrikaans people happen to be memebers of the AWB etc then yes, I am referring to them.

It originally referred to black people, then slowly came to mean all people of lower class intelligence, then you used it now to refer to a white person.
Still pretty insulting anyway. Do you retract it?

Issues that come into play with the employee's suspension is whether the company has an email policy, code of ethics and asset utilisation policy and whether the employee has acknowledged these policies and the company has proof of such acknowledgement.

If not, the company could find itself in a tricky position if they only target the one employee and not everyone else who received AND forwarded the same email using company resources.

I don't get the fuss over the knuckle dragger slur. Aren't you guys always referring to others as savages? What's the difference? Surely Fudzy comment was directed at the email guy.

If there is a policy in place, surely the recipients thereof cannot be dragged into it, unless they forwarded the email.

But if there is no policy and the employee that was fired does decide to take legal action, surely there should be some form of defence for the employer in the Constitution of this banana republic we're in?

Yeah if there isn't anything in place I'm sure this guy/girl could take them to the cleaners via CCMA. Though it's always a bit iffy when your reference tells your future employer you were fired for sending racist e-mails.

Hence I qualified it with "AND forwarded".

He can claim victimisation on the grounds that he has been singled out for punishment whereas others who committed the same "offence" have gone unpunished.

This must be the stupidest thing I've read on MyBB. How are you mistaking it for a racist slur, and then the Afrikaans boer crap? I didn't even realise the term could be racist until urban dictionary informed me it could be an anti black slur.

It was dead obviously just a reference to the guy being an idiot. You guys are getting as bad as Julius with "reactionary" racist allegations all the time. Surely you're just making this up so you can call Fudzy racist? I thought it was a joke at first.
