SUV choices

Your "comparison" gives me more than cancer, friend.

It's OK, we need those who took Woodwork instead of math.
Let me put it to you in simpleton terms. One car manufacturer sells 1000 cars, and another sells 100. They both get the same amount of complaints.

The manufacturer that sold 1000 cars is clearly better since they have much less complaints per car sold.

For the price, the Duster is a really good choice, looks like it's quite a popular number that one. I've also heard good things about the IX35. Personally, I would buy the Audi Q* range, or the Evoque, but I realise that's a little out of budget.

Duster or IX35.

We went for a Tiguan to a Touareg when the second kid came along. Awesome cars. The 2nd gem are reliable and rough as hell, I wouldn't go for a first gen.

Used bargains too.

Anyone have a IX35 (diesel and petrol) or Xtrail (petrol and diesel).
How is the maintenance costs and fuel consumption?

Had a diesel X-Trail. Fuel consumption was 6.5l/100km as far as I remember. One 16" hubcap was over R1k though. Parts weren't the cheapest

Do you have the 3 liter diesel. Whats the fuel consumption like

It's a good indication on parts pricing...

What I meant is, why on earth does a car still come with plastic crap covering it's wheels? At the price of the things, it's ludicrous. Actually, what it is, is car companies raping us just cause they can.

Got the 3.6 petrol, its not that bad but not as good as the diesel obviously. You pay a large premium though, but I loved the spec on the one we got.
