Suzuki experience?

Do remember though MORE WEIGHT = MORE FUEL. And Suzuki is light on fuel generally.

And its a cheap affordable people carrier. R290k. Like the price of a Polo Vivo Hatch pretty much

Otherwise look at the Honda BRV, but more pricey but slightly better built.

Suzuki is good. Swift and Baleno.

No personal experience with the Ertiga but I've just got back from a trip to East London in my wife's Baleno - no problems with that car.

Also done it countless times in rental Swifts, Spressos, and Celeros. My only complaint is the petrol tanks could be bigger in all of them. Think I might buy my kids a Jimny.

Okay Just got back from the rental place and got a Starlet. Only driven 2km so far and boy is it horrible, and anyone who says this thing has power is lying, you have to plant your foot to the floor to get it going. Rattles everywhere, and the clutch pedal is too close to the foot rest. (10 000km) on the clock.

Will drive on the highway later after work, lets see how it is there.

Just as a sidenote.. I got an almost brand new Polo sedan under a month ago from Avis while my BMW was in for repairs. I was quite surprised with it. Look, it's still not a great car, but it's a massive improvement on the Vivo I had to use a couple of years back.

OK, will go on a diet in case I have the misfortune again in future to get a Suzuki as rental............or maybe I'll wise up and ask for a car which can actually cope with passengers. .......and why would I look at a Honda? I have no intention of purchasing such a car.

Why? You don't like Suzuki why would you get one? Should've asked them for a Polo

1. I did not realise Suzukis are bad. Never driven one before.
2. Did not and would not ask for a VW as I intended actually reaching my destination . Owned some, so have had (horrible) experiences.

you want flimsy OP, go rent a Renault Kwid, then go back to a Suzuki,

inner Door panels aren't even screwed in, one swift motion you can pull them clean off, luckily the E/W switches are in the middle, otherwise might have ripped the door panel switches out as well.

but then again if you had a scooter or something without doors even, anything with a roof will feel like luxury.

same with me, that has a Getz, compared to the Picanto, feels like absolute luxury, even though its a very similar car, although a bit bigger.

I wanted one because I want prove myself right about how horrible they are, haven't lived with one "long term" only short drives so this is a good opportunity for me to test it out. Luckily I get to return this one and dont have to keep it forever like the rest of the unfortunate Suzuki owners.
