Suzuki's take on the Kwid. Cool name./

Suzuki's S-Presso is Shot at Kwid

This could become the brand's budget crossover despite already having multiple budget cars in its lineup.

With many of Suzuki’s South African market cars similar to those delivered to India, any new reveal in the world’s second-most populous country is important.

Suzuki’s latest product initiative is a production version of the Future S concept car, which was first shown in last year.

This new crossover will broaden Suzuki’s gravel travel vehicle offering and it has been renamed S-Presso. For loyal followers of the brand, the coffee naming association will not be new, as Suzuki’s once marketed a two-seater compact sportscar, named the Cappuccino.

A no from me to anything Maruti Suzuki.

And then :

In terms of size, the S-Presso measures 3.67m bumper-to-bumper, 1.52m across and stands 1.55m high. Those numbers class it as very slightly smaller than the current Suzuki Ignis.

Maruti S-Presso exterior & interior revealed - Team-BHP

(Sames pics posted here as in OP)

Maruti Suzuki has released images of the upcoming S-Presso hatchback. The images reveal the car's exterior as well as its interior.

The Maruti S-Presso features SUV-like styling with slim grille with chrome inserts and twin-pod wraparound headlamps. The car has a dual-tone front bumper with daytime running lights. It has blacked-out B-pillars and flared wheel arches.

The images indicate that the S-Presso gets black interiors with colour-coded inserts. It has a circular centre fascia that houses a digital instrument cluster on top and a touchscreen head-unit. The side air-con vents are circular with colour-coded borders.

The car has basic air-con controls that are positioned below the head-unit. Two cup holders have also been provided ahead of the gear lever. The seats have integrated headrests and are wrapped in dual-tone upholstery.

Higher variants are expected to get a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and internally adjustable ORVM's. An AMT gear lever is also seen in the images.

Safety features like dual airbags, ABS, high speed warning and rear parking sensors are likely to be offered as standard across all variants.

The Maruti S-Presso is expected to be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 67 BHP @ 5,500 rpm. Transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.

Why would you want that in Orange to bring attention to it, if you getting it stealth grey would be a better option.

I'm new to the Suzuki family and googled Maruti.
They have another small mpv, suv whatever called the Wagon R.

I would say that Maruti Suzuki should look at developing a small bakkie.

Google Suzuki Super Carry - their " bakkie ".
A friend of mine declares that a Carry is not a bakkie.
He says that it is a volkkin kruiwa met a donderse lawnmower engine.
In my mind i had something of the old Datsun bakkie as an "bakkie".

Something like this!!!!!!!!!!

Maruti Suzuki has launched its ‘Mini SUV’, the S-Presso, in India. The prices start at Rs. 3.69 lakh and go up to Rs. 4.91 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The S-Presso has a bold, upright stance, with design inspired by the Vitara Brezza. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will go up against the Renault Kwid and Hyundai Santro.
