At least with the faux silver bumper skid plates, blacked-out lower door accents, silver door protection & sill panels and black wheel arch trims, it looks a lot more like a mini-CUV and may even give the Mahindra KUV100 a run for its money!

Suzuki Alto Dead, Replaced by S-Presso
Suzuki is reportedly killing production of its Alto budget car in favour of the S-Presso which is due in South Africa soon.
The Alto budget car came to market in South Africa in 2009 and was later discontinued in early 2015 to make way for the Celerio, which has proven popular locally.
Suzuki’s latest budget offering, the S-Presso budget crossover, recently went on sale in its home market, India, and has consequently made the Alto somewhat redundant and Maruti Suzuki is, therefore, looking to scrap the Alto altogether.
The S-Presso will face off against the popular Renault Kwid and will come to market with a 3-cylinder, 1.0-litre petrol engine with 50 kW and 90 Nm of torque.

The Maruti S-Presso is on sale in India at a price of between Rs. 3.71 - 4.99 lakhs (ex-Delhi).
What you'll like:
• Funky design stands out from the crowd
• Well-priced for what it offers
• Spacious cabin with enough room for four 6-footers, and easy ingress / egress too
• Fantastic engine & MT gearbox. Fun, driveable, revv-happy, fuel efficient
• Optional AMT automatic available at a Rs. ~43,000 premium
• 180 mm of ground clearance & a tiny 4.5m turning radius aid practicality
• Boot has a practical layout. Rear seat does fold down when required
• Nice touchscreen ICE with Android Auto + Apple CarPlay + steering mounted controls
What you won't:
• Controversial styling with oddball proportions – you’ll either love it or hate it
• Basic ride quality has a distinctly firm edge to it. Can get bumpy
• Terrible highway dynamics & NVH at 100 km/h. Best driven at double-digit speeds
• Weird, poorly-calibrated steering has many flaws
• AMT, although improved, can’t match conventional ATs on smoothness & speed. Still gets jerky
• Narrow width makes it a 4-seater (not 5)
• Missing rear power windows, rear defogger & day / night IRVM
• Skinny 165 mm tyres or atrocious 145 mm rubber (lower variant). Fuel tank is just 27L in size

From the Team-BHP review I posted earlier above:
So it appears to be MUCH worse than the Renault Kwid or Datsun GO as far as driving dynamics & handling is concerned - looks like it's best suited for shuttling retirement home residents to & from their local bingo hall at speeds under 60 km/h.

Wow, just WOW!
That's a comprehensive review that has covered everything that one wants to know about a vehicle. Not just the facts but there is opinion and relevant comment.
How refreshing it is to read a review that does not employ that hackneyed, meaningless and worthless phrase:
"perceived quality".
This review has made me visit the website and all the reviews are just as comprehensive and thorough.
I score the review with a 100 points but as for the car......It'll find a home in South Africa but it won't be in my garage. It's a case of, if that's what I can afford, I'd rather look at a demo or used car such as an Ignis , Swift or a Honda Brio.
