Switch 2 thread

Ya'll gonna be waiting...this thing is only releasing in fscking August this year lmao

Switch 2 Experience dates run all the way from 4 April to 1 June.

Sounds like it's launching in the 2nd half of the year.

So, Switch Remastered then. Hopefully the specs make up for the bland copy and paste design.

I wouldn't worry about it, PS5 said the same thing (hell still does when you check a PS4 game on the store) and we know 99% of games work

True, still a tad worried, then again only care for Nintendo Originals, Have proper consoles for the others, and I am pretty sure they will cover those 1st, in house and all. ie: cover but from 3rd party crap.

I guess a later launch is perfect for me, I'm in no rush and there's still so many Switch 1 games I can play until then. Although it is tempting to sell that and get something like a Steam Deck instead, hmm

3D Mario rumoured as a launch title.

I'm hoping for a more linear game like Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii. Odyssey was a great game but Galaxy was something else.

I'm also guessing Metroid Prime 2 and 3 remasters will be dropping soon in preparation for 4

Plan is to sell 20 million in NS2's first year. I think it's doable, scalpers be damned. I'm planning to just download the NS2 firmware onto the NS1 and bam! upgraded my OG Switch.

- Depending on console price and financial status: day 0.
- Price of games: next-gen tax is a major concern for my broke-ass self.
- Mario Kart 9 F2P battle royale racing? Nice idea, but I doubt...
- Mousecon looks very uncomfortable: hopefully they have a shell with better ergonomics. They can even fashion it after a Koopa Troopa shell. Mousecon is a great idea tho, but I cannot see myself using the config from the original reveal for prolonged periods.
- They did not focus on the dock. Hopefully it holds some secret/s. Active cooling will be great.
- Wii-like pointer controls? Do it Nintendo.
- No hands-on experience for ZA: Dissapoint but expected.

Glad the controllers are bigger and should therefore be more comfortable, hopefully that right side analog is now actually usable.

Also glad they god rid of the rail attachments, it was a major reliability failure point.

And the stand is what it should have been in the first place. Bigger screen is a bonus, but all depends on weight it might not be as nice as it seems at first.

I do hope the original controllers remain compatible though. I have a sneaking suspicion they brought out the charging dock thing recently for exactly this reason.
