Switch 2 thread

I don't think it's going to sell very well locally.

Being more expensive than a PS5 is going to make it a hard sell for many.

I'm going to UK mid June and had thought to pick one up that side, but yeah, you guys are scaring me and now I'm thinking it's going to be difficult to get from a shop.

So, I just had a quick trip to Takealot and it's bye bye to my eBucks balance and the R1,959 to make up the bundle price. Bit of a bargain to be fair and now I can take it with me on the plane :p
Let us know if you are willing to mule over MicroSD Express cards for us please.

I don't know how many of the console-only units there were but they sold out already.

PS I did not buy it, my wife did and my 30th-anniversary Edition PS5 was cheaper.

No worries. I’m planning on leaving about the 18th June back a week or 10 days later so let’s see what the situation is after console deliveries. My son is over there and has Prime so I can have them delivered in advance and pick up when I’m there.

I'm thinking the only way this is happening for me is if eBucks run a 40% off at launch.

Not impossible considering it's Core.

I’ve resigned to using at 1:1 these last couple of years. I had over R11k so just added a couple of k cash and it’s still a great bargain.

I don't really care where the discount comes from, but only ever use it on things that are discounted. Whether via eBucks direct, Takealot or Le Creuset & Yuppiechef.

Fair enough. I found myself buying stuff I don’t want because it was on special. Last thing was the PS 5 a couple of black Fridays ago. Sat there doing nothing so I sold it on. So now I only use it on things I want/need and not worry about the discount. This year has been an IPad mini, a chest freezer and now a Switch 2.

Free is free after all :)

(Sorry for the OT)

I have no problem with Switch 2 console or its price. Its everything I expected/wanted minus the playtime but was expecting that to dip due to performance increase. I dont even have an issue for accessory prices as I normally go with Hori or 8Bitdo anyway.

My issue is with the game price and lack of sales. eg:

Switch 1 launch game still selling at full price, and you cant blame Core for that as its the same on the digital Store front. The lack of proper sales isn't helping either.

So what we gonna do?

Cancel and wait for the returned funds, only to be told in 3 - 5 working days sold out.

Yeah, I’m not sure what’s the best thing to do. I paid mostly eBucks and nearly 2k cash, getting a refund on eBucks might be more of a ball ache than cash. Might give them a call and see what they say.
